AUSTRALIANS IN AIR RACE
FASTER MOSQUITO OBTAINED SYDNEY, November 11. The Roya] Australian Air Force has exchanged the Mosquito aircraft given to the Australian competitors in next year’s London to Christchurch air race for a more modern plane. Squadron Leader A. Oates’ who will pilot the aeroplane with Flight Lieutenant D. Swain as his navigator, said: “Our new machine is about 12 miles an hour faster than the previous photoreconnaissance Mosquito.”
