SUPPORT OF U.N. PLEDGED
(Rec. 11.45 p.m.) NEW YORK. Nov. 10. In a letter to Mr Trygve Lie today, Mr Eisenhower expressed “unwavering support” for the ideals of the United Nations The letter was in reply to Mr Lie’s congratulations on Mr Eisenhower’s election as President of the United States.
“I hope there will be no doubt in the minds of any member nation or any delegate to the headquarters of the United Nations of my unwavering support of the purpose and ideals on which the organisation was founded,” Mr Eisenhower’s letter said.
