ROWING
REGATTA AT KERRS REACH ORGANISED
The programme for a regatta to be held at Kerr’s Reach on November 29 was drawn up last evening at a meeting of the Canterbury Amateur Rowing Association. It will be the first inter-club regatta of the season.
It was decided to award one big pennant for the club gaining the most points at the meeting, and smaller pennants for the winners of each race. A cup given by the Avon Rowing Club will be open to competition by outside clubs. Messrs C. A. Cooper, J. B. Taylor, and B. R. Walker were elected selectors of a Canterbury eight, and Mr E. R. Lindstrom was elected coach.
SAPSFORD CUP RESULTS
Races for the Sapsford Sculling Cup were held recently by the Canterbury Rowing Club. The following were the final results:—
Double Sculls. —G. J. Emmett and M. H. McCrostie beat J. Buckeridge and J. S. P. Palmer by two lengths.
