(Rec. 12.30 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO. October 8. The estate of the newspaper magnate. William Randolph Hearst, who died on September 14, has been appraised at 40.499,214 dollars on the basis of the assets listed so far. Lawyers said today, however, that other assets, still to be listed, would increase the gross value to 56,500,000 dollars. Hearst, who died aged 88, left most of his estate to his widow, Mrs Millicent Hearst, their five sons, and charitable institutions. Greek Forces In N.A.T.O.—General Willard Wyman, the Allied commander in South-east Europe, said today that the advanced echelon of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation will be set up in Salonica this week.
