(Rec. 8 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Oct. 7. British and United States officials said today that they knew nothing to confirm ttie published report that some independent United States companies had sent tankers to buy Persian

A spokesman for the Cities’ Service Company whose president, Mr Alton Jones, recently discussed the oil situation in Teheran with Dr. Mussadiq, declared: “We have heard nothing at all about United States tankers going to Persia.”
