TREASURER REPORTS GOOD PROGRESS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 8. The collection totals cannot be published yet. but the money in hand today—23 days after the appeal opened —exceeds the total collected after the corresponding period of last year’s appeal. “The fund was a bit slow getting started in the South Island.” said Mr MacDonald, “but things are moving there now, and as far. as the North Island is concerned the campaign is going very well.”
