TSHEKEDI KHAMA REJOINS TRIBE
CAPE TOWN, October 6. Tshekedi Khama, the former Regent of the Bamangwato tribe, and 15 of his followers, have been readmitted as full members of the tribe at a ceremony at Serowe. , Tshekedi, uncle of the exiled tribal chief Seretse Khama, was banished from'his homeland for three years by the British Government after going into voluntary exile as a protest against Seretse’s marriage to a white woman, , London-born Ruth Williams. The banishment order was withdrawn on September 4.
