COUNCIL OF CIVIC LIBERTIES
Sir,—l read in “The Press” with much interest of a meeting held in Wellington last August. A member of the Council of Civil Liberties, I observed, is a Christchurch citizen. Would this member kindly give some further information about this new organisation, and the reason why the officers elected were of the opinion that the council was most necessary to John Citizen in such a favoured country as New Zealand?—Yours, etc., FREEDOM OF THOUGHT. October 6, 1952.
