REDCLIFFS RIFLE RANGE

Sir, —I am pleased to note in “The Press’’ this morning Cr. T. H. McCombs’s suggestion about the Redcliffs rifle range. This rifle range, for a reserve and children’s playground, has been a long standing request by the Redcliffs residents. There is actually no other place for the numerous small children round about this area to play where they would be safe. Because of this they play on the roads and become a grave danger to motorists and to themselves. A few days ago I narrowly avoided colliding with small children playing on the road and a friend of mine damaged/ his car through having to avoid the children on the road. I feel a great number of the Redcliffs residents are of the same opinion as myself.—Yours, etc., O. SMITH. October 7, 1952.
