BONUS OF 6 PER CENT. TO BE PAID (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. October 6. A bonus payment of 6 per cent, and a sharp rise in earnings are features of the forty-second report of Pukemiro Collieries, Ltd., for the year ended March 31. The net profit of £26,325 was almost three times that of the previous year’s result, £8929, and was the highest since 1929, when £38,365 was earned. The latest result was reached after providing £23,150 more for tax at £33,000, and an unstated amount for depreciation. The directors are recommending an unchanged dividend of GYs per cent., absorbing £65,000, and the bonus takes £6OOO. The carry-forward is raised to £24,176. The report says this year’s total payment of 12»/ 2 per cent, will bring the average dividend paid over the last 21 vears to 6 per cent. The annual dividend and bonus will be paid on October 16, ex October 9.
