GATE RECEIPTS AT TEST MATCH
GROSS TAKINGS £5BOO The gross gate ' receipts at Lancaster Park last Saturday for the first test match between Australia and New Zealand were £5BOO. This was announced at a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union’s management committee last evening. The net receipts were about £5660, out of which amount the New Zealand union takes £3774. The Lancaster Park Board of Control takes about £ 1305, and the Canterbury union’s share is £5BO, out of which all entertainment expenses are paid.
