JAKE TULI BEATS TEDDY GARDNER
EMPIRE FLY WEIGHT TITLE LONDON, September 8. The South African chaffipion, Jake Tull, who is a Zulu, to-night at Newcastle beat Teddy Gardner to win the Empire fly-weight title. Tne refetee stopped the contest in the twelfth round when Gardner, with both eyes streaming blood, was taking terrible punishment. Tuli. who showed much skill, was practically unmarked. Gardner, who is alfco the European fly-weight Champion, was down for counts of nine and eight in the twelfth round.
