20TH CENTURY GROUP ENTERTAINS
The 20th Century Group, now firmly established as an important section of the Overseas League, is widening its activities and rapidly gaining new friends. This was shown on Saturday when at the group’s cocktail party held in its rooms in Cashel street 160 guests were present, including many members of the senior league. Mr, J. G. Leggat (president of the group) and Miss Heather McCrostie (honorary z secretary) welcomed members and friends, and saw that all were enjoying themselves. Miss McCrostie wore an attractive frock of navy wool georgette and a small navy hat with large white flower at one side. Specially invited guests were Mr A. I. Cottrell (president of the Overseas League) and Mrs Cottrell, Mr D. W. Bain (Dominion secretary) and Mrs Bain, .Miss Nancy Northcroft (president k of the Victoria League Young Contingent), and Miss Angela Gray (president of the Junior Navy League).
