Instruments for Kaiapoi Band.—The Kaiapoi Borough Council decided at a meeting last evening to give £5O towards the funds for a new set\of instruments for the Kaiapoi Brass Band. The band has not had new instruments for more than 40 years and it is expected that the complete set will cost £1750. The instrument apneal committee was aiming to raise £2OOO. said the honorary secretary of the committee (Mr W. H. A. Vickery) in a letter to the council. -
