Major-General Sir Howard Kippenberger, Dominion president of the New Zealand Returned Services’ Association, and Captain C. H. Upham, V.C. and bar. who were expected to arrive in Wellington by air from Sydney on Saturday, will not now arrive until to-morrow. They were delayed in Calcutta when their aeroplane was held there because of a technical fault. Sir Howard Kippenberger and Captain Upham have been representing New Zealand at recent Anzac Day ceremonies in Greece.—(P.A.) Lieutenant-Colonel W. R. K. Morrison, D. 5.0., has been appointed officer commanding the Central District Training Depot. He succeeds Lieu-tenant-Colonel F. B- Davis, who has held the dual position of officer com» manding the Central District Training Depot and camp commandant at Linton Camp since August, 1951. Lieuten-ant-Colonel Davis has been appointed officer commanding the Southern District Training Depot and camp commandant at Burnham Camp. Major C E. Burgess succeeds LieutenantColonel Davis as camp commandant at Linton Camp.—(P.A.)
