Macfarlane, M.P.), when ho was told of the King's death late last night ! “All his subjects Will remember him M vmat King, who, With hi* Otfeen. stayed with tlw people of London during the bombing of theif city, and was a source of great encouragement snd inspiration to the free world during The Kiiiifi 1 death Had caused the Royal tour of New Zealand to be cancelled, said Mr Maefarlane, adding: “We can, perhaps, look forward to a tour by the Queen of England at some time in the future."
