NEW AUSTRALIAN BATTALION
(Rec. 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 18 Australia's second battalion for Korea will march through the city’s streets before embarking for Japan within a few weeks. The departure will be the biggest single troop movement since World War 11. The battalion, which includes many men who have already served in Korea and who have returned for noncommissioned officer training, is commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel lan Hutchison. D. 5.0.. M.C., who led an Australian battalion in the Owen Stanleys during World War 11.
