U.N. CASUALTIES NOW 414,000
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON. January 17. The casualties of the United Nations and~Republic of Korea forces exceed 414,000, according to information given by the United Nations delegations and the Government to the Associated Press. American casualties totalled 104,084 These included 15.950 killed. 75.347 wounded, and 12.760 prisoners. The totals for the armies, navies and air forces of the 15 other United Nations member nations were at least 8698, representing 1648 killed, 5528 wounded, and 1522 missing and captured.
The figures given for Britain are 424 dead, 1317 wounded, 916 captured, and 201 missing, a total of 2858. The New Zealand figures are 17 killed, 41 wounded, and one captured, a total of 59.
