(Rec. 7 p.m.) SYDNEY. Dec 3a The Australian test rejects. S. Barnea and J. Burke, gave a dazzling exhibition for New South Wales against Queensland in a Sheffield Shield match which began at the Sydney Cricket Ground yesterday. Their opening stand of 213 was three runs better than the previous best, which was by Barnes and Morris, against Victoria. Barnes, who was dropped from the third test team bv order of the Board of Control, took 190 minutes to score 128 runs, including 13 boundaries. New South Wales: first innings. 331 for four wickets (Barnes 128. Burke 87, Carroll not out 78; Smith 2 for 79).
