NARCOTICS CHARGE IN U.S.
NEW YORK, December 13. Waxey Gordon, a notorious bootlegger of the prohibition era, was sentenced to from 25 years to life imprisonment to-day as a narcotics peddler. Gordon was trapped with three other men by narcotics agents on August 3 as they attempted to sell narcotics. At the time of the arrest police said that Gordon was directing a 1,000,000 dollars a year ring.
