PROJECTED TOUR OF AUSTRALIA

■ „ AUCKLAND. Oct. 17. The Fijian Rugby team did not want to tour Australia unless it was sure that such a trip would be fairly profitable, said Mr L. R. Martin, manager of last season’s Fijian tourists, who arrived from Suva to-day on a short business trip. He will visit Australia next week, and hopes to discuss the projected tour with the authorities there.
"We want a chance to assimilate what we have learned,” he said. "If we can learn to get the ball out of the forwards we should rank as one of the world’s best teams. If we can't we might as well ston clowning and give it up. Speed and tackling aren't worth much without POCKSMmNL**
