NORTHERN IRELAND CRITICISED
LAWS SAID TO BE DEGRADING ANKARA, September 2. Mr Patrick Hogan, the Eire delegate. alleged at a session of the Interparliamentary Union on Saturday that a police State has been established in the six counties of Northern Ireland. Mr Hogan claimed that laws of the most degrading kind were enforced in the six counties, and religious persecution and discrimination were rampant. He suggested that the union establish a special committee to investigate and report to the next conference on the charges he had made. The British delegate will reply tomorrow to the Eire case. Nearly 3’ delegates from 30 countries are attending the conference.
