REPORTED OFFER OF TANKERS
Rec. 9.40 p.m.) TEHERAN. Sept. 1.
The Secretary-General of the Persian Oil Nationalisation Board (Mr Hussein Makki) said to-day that several foreign companies had offered to sell Persia tankers, half the payment for which iVould be in Persian oil.
If the tankers arrived British staff would be expected to help load them. “If they refuse to work, we.will replace them,’’ he said.
