The Most Rev V. Foley, S.M., Vicar Apostolic of Fiji, arrived at Whenuapai on Saturday by Pan American airliner for a business visit to Auckland and Christchurch. He was accompanied by Father C. O’Leary.—(P.A.)
Two Shaw Savill Line commanders, each with more than 40 years’ service in the company, have retired. They are Sir Henry Gordon, D.S.C., captain of the Dominion Monarch, and Captain W. J. Williams, of the Gothic London, August 31.
