MASTERTON. Sept. 1. The New Zealand table tennis tournament was not ended until after midnight to-night. Men’s Championship Doubles—Final: N. Brightwell (Otago) and J. Crossley (Wellington). holders, beat H. Chapman (Wellington) and H. Lauder (Wellington) 21-11, 13-21. 21-17, 19-21. 21-17. r Women's Championship Doubles—Final: Miss M. Hoar (Wairarapa) and Miss J. M. Williamson (Canterbury) beat Mrs E. Collins and Miss B. Powell (South Canterbury), 21-11, 21-14, 21-12. Mixed Championship Doubles.—Final: W. O. Jaine (Auckland) and Miss M. Hoar (Wairarapa) beat R. V. Jackson (Auckland) and Miss B. Williams (Auckland), 21-12, 21-16, 12-21, 21-10. Delegates decided not to send a New Zealand team to the world's championship tournament in India this year, rescinding a resolution to send a team carried at the annual meeting. It was decided to engage a first-class coach for next season.
