The sale of ram hoggets of various mutton breeds offered by a number of breeders, and the registered Romney flock offered on behalf of Mr W. G. Dalzell. Loburn, at the Showgrounds three weeks ago, was reasonably well attended. The sheep were all of good useful type, and there was a steady demand. Southdown ram hoggets made from 3Jgns to B|gns, Suffolks 9gns to 13gns, South-Suflfolks Bgns to 15gns, Southdown-Border Leicesters 6Jgns to lOgns, and Romneys lOgns to 12gns. Two rams from Mr Dalzell’s flock made 15gns and 25gns, 24 one-shear ewes lOgns, 29 two-shear ewes Bgns to lOgns, 21 three-shear ewes Bgn% 14 aged ewes sgns, and 24 ewe hoggets 6gns to 7gns.
