NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North Canterbury Electric Power Board proposes at its meeting to be held on September 18, 1951, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board, for its sanction to the borrowing in tertns of Section 15, Finance Act No. 2, 1936, without a poll of fatepayers, of the sum of £70,000 for the purpose of further electrical reticulation in those portions of the Rangiora, Kowal, Eyre, Oxford, Ashley. Waipara, Cheviot, and Amur! Counties within the Board's district.

For security of the said loan it is proposed to provide a sinking fund, and furthermore to strike a -security rate of one-tenth of ‘a penny in the £ on the rateable property of all portions of the Rangiora. Kowai, Eyre, Oxford, Ashley. Waipara. Cheviot, and Amur! Counties within the Board’s district. It is not anticipated that any portion of the above rate will at any time be collected. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the North Canterbury Electric Power Board not later than the day preceding the said meeting.
