UNDEFENDED DIVORCE

PETITIONS

A decree nisi, on the grounds stated, was granted the petitioner in each of the following undefended petitions for divorce heard before Mr Justice Northcroft in the Supreme Court yesterday:— Separation.—Eraiana May Bonar (Mr B McClelland) v. Joseph Bonar. Failure to comply with decree for restitution of conjugal rights,—Arthur Johnson (Mr E. S. Bowie) v. Phyllis Isabel Johnson. Adultery.—Edward James Alexander Neal (Mr E. S. Bowie) v. Martha Margaret Neal, and Michael Bowes Ingram, named as co-respondent. Restitution of Conjugal Righto Albert John Rosewarne (Mr E. S. Bowie) petitioned against Hilda Himalaya Emma Rosewarne for restitution of conjugal rights. An order was made for restitution within 21 days.

WIDOW GIVEN PROVISION FROM ESTATE

If a draft order was prepared on the lines that the executrix relinquished her trusteeship in favour of a trustee corporation which would have power to dispose of the-house property, buy a smaller one, and pay the widow of the testator, from time to time, such sums as seemed necessary for her proper maintenance, he would approve it, said Mr Justice Northcroft when an application was made in the Supreme Court yesterday under the Family Protection Act. Anna Hermine Seaton, a widow, sought further provision from the estate of her husband, Ormond Wentworth Seaton, a traveller, who died on July 8, 1950, leaving a net estate of £1927, the main asset being a house property. Mr F. P. Hill appeared for Mrs Seaton, who was left a life Interest in the estat*. Mr W. K. L. Dougall appeared for Doris Irene Gunderson, a married woman, the executrix and residuary beneficiary. His Honour gave leave to the parties to apply again to the Court if necessary.

DISCHARGED FROM BANKRUPTCY

Anthony George Bouterey, a building contractor, for whom Mr E. S. Bowie appeared, was granted a discharge from bankruptcy by Mr Justice Northcroft in the Supreme Court yesterday. His Honour made the order conditional on Bouterey paying £lOO off his debts in such sums as agreed to by the Official Assignee (Mr G. W. Brown), but at not less than £1 a week. Michael Bouterey. a baker, of North Beach, who was represented by Mr M. G. L. Loughnan, was granted a discharge from bankruptcy.
