SOUTH AFRICANS PLAY KENT
FIRST INNINGS LEAD ' LONDON. August 30. The South Africans took the lead on the first innings on the second day of their match against Kent, with six wickets in hand. ’’ J. E. Cheetham stroked soundly and occasionally lustily in scoring a chanceless undefeated 79. Scores were: - Kent—First innings. 163. South Africa—First innings, four for 198 (Cheetham not out 79).
