MICKEY ROONEY CHARGED
SAN FRANCISCO, August 29. Mickey Rooney, the film actor, escaped a Contempt of Court citation in Hollywood by agreeing to. make up 2981 dollars in overdue support payments for his two sons. Rooney’s former wife, Betty Jane Rase, took him to Court to explain why he still owed money for their two children. She had attached on« o’ his bank accounts which yielded 1079 dol’ars. He paid an additional 1002 dollars and said he would Clear the remainder with payments of 100 dollars a Week. Rooney was given until September 115 to purge himself of contempt.
