MARKET IN BUYERS’ FAVOUR (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 29. The market opened strongly at the Sydney wool sales to-day, but weakened later and the best greasy Merino fleece and skirtings sold in the buyers favour. , , x, j AU other Menno descriptions and comebacks and crossbreds ruled firm at yesterday's level. Competition waa restricted chiefly to Continental buyers, with useful support from Japan and very limited support from Britain. The offering totalled 13,713 bales, of which 12,848 were sold. Top price was 119 d for greasy Merino.
