Fugitives Sheltered In Egypt
(Rec. 8 p.m.) CAIRO, August 28. Egypt will not surrender to the Jordan authorities two men convicted of complicitv in the assassination of King Abdullah, a spokesman of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said today. The two fugitives, who crossed Into Egypt soon after the killing, were among six men sentenced to death by a Jordan military Court to-day. They are Colonel Abdullah Tell, a former Governor of Jerusalem, and Musa Ahmed Ayyuhi, a former Jerusalem vegetable merchant. Both men were tried in their absence. The Egyptian spokesman said that there was no extradition treaty between Egypt and Jordan or between Egypt and any other Arab country. In recent years several Arab political and religious leaders, including the former Grand Mufti of Jerusalem have sought and obtained asylum in Egypt. Three of the four others who were found guilty to-day and sentenced to death in Jordan were Dr. Musa Abdullah Hussein, a doctor of philosophy of the Universities of London and Berlin. Abed Okke, a Jerusalem coffee-house keeper, and Zakanya Okke, a cattle merchant, and brother of Abed.
