MAIL ON WAHINE LOST
ATTEMPTS AT SALVAGE FAIL (Jf*w Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 29. The mail aboard the Wahine for the New Zealand forces in Korea must be JJprded as a total loss, said a Post Ofice spokesman to-day. A report just received from the sergeant postal officer who was on. the Vessel said that attempts to salvage “email had been unsuccessful. The mail consisted of 50 bags of pareels and 25 bags of newspapers and packets. It was a New Zealand-wide PJ*™? for K Force made a week to 1? days before the sailing of the Waon August 2.
