Results: Glamorgan 125 (Cook four for 16) drew with Gloucestershire, one for 190. Somersetshire. 258 (Surridge six for 94). drew with Surrey. Sussex, >ll3 (Appleyard five for 81), and five for 116, drew with Yorkshire, 216 (James five for 48)
Worcestershire, eight for 400 declared (Cooper 124). drew with Northamptonshire eight for 263 (Brown not out 171). Kent, 158 (Evans 101; Wooler five for 47). and 244 (Cowdrey 87), lost to Leicestershire. 235 and three for 168 (Smithson 105). Derbyshire, 96 (P, Smith five for 22) and three for 138 (Hamer 92). drew with Essex, 98 (Gladwin seven for 55). Lancashire, six for 377 declared (Place 103, Wharton not out 102), drew with Nottinghamshire, two for 21. Warwickshire, six for 345 declared (Dollerv not out 110) and seven for 51 declared, drew with Hampshire, 198 Grey not out 72; Weeks four for 49) and three for 81.
