BUSY TIME FOR MR MORRISON
(Rec. 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 29. "The Times'* says that the Foreign Secretary (Mr Herbert Morrison) will be faced with a full programme of conferences throughout most of September.
First comes the San Francisco conference on September 4 dealing with the Japanese Peace Treaty. Mr Morrison will then attend a Foreign Ministers' meeting in Washington about September 10, with Mr Schuman and Mr Acheson on the question of German rearmament.
Next Mr Morrison will go to Ottawa where the North Atlantic Treaty Council is expected to meet on September 14 to consider apportioning the burden of defence fairly between the various treaty countries. This conference is expected to last until September 20.
