CHARGE AGAINST SYRIA
ISRAEL ASKS FOR REHEARING
(Rec. 7 p.m.) TEL AVIV, Aug. 26. Israel has asked the United Nations Security Council to reopen consideration at the Israeli complaint that Syrian tegular troops participated in recent border clashes. It was officially stated that the Israeli Foreign Minister (Mr Moshe Shatett) yesterday made the request in a cablegram to Mr Warren Austin, president of the Security Council The latest request is based mainly on the allegation that the Syrian Official Gazette of July 19 contained two announcements of decorations awarded to members of the Syrian forces who took part in “waf operations"
