In the same year he graduated B.A and ih 1924 graduated M.A. with nrst-clasS h °Subsequently Mr Cox weht to Eng* land with the intention of furthering h iB studies at an English university but instead he took up a position as a geologist With the Anglo-franian Oil C< hi^the y Second World War Mr CoX enlisted in the Royal Engineers, and after being discharged from the Army. Mr Cox married Miss Irene Dunnage. a daughter of the late Mr F. W. Dunnage and Mrs dunnage, of Christ* church He is a brother of Mr bomers Cox and Mr F. C. O. Cox, both Of Ghristehutch.
