CONTROL PASSED TO GOVERNMENT „ ' BdGOTA (Colombia), Aug. 28. Control of the big de Mares oilfield passed to-day to the Colombian Government from the hands of a private Company Which had operated it as a concession for 30 years. . Tne transfer was carried out in complete harmony after friendly negotiate oilfield. which is the source of virtually all Colombia's petroleum, has 1030 producing oil wells.
