SCHOOL CADET COURSES
TRAINING IN TERM HOLIDAYS
Because the training facilities at Burnham Military Camp are being used for the present intake of 18-year-old recruits, the annual courses of instruction for South Island secondary school cadets will he held during the term holidays at Godley Head and Sutton Camp. One hundred cadets will attend the course at Godlev Head from September 1 to September 8. for instruction in artillery, engineering, signalling, mortars, medium machine guns and intelligence and administration work. Two courses of a week each will be held at Sutton for training in infantry and weapons, from August 25 to September 1 and from September 1 to September 8. Each Will cater for 255 cadets. All the courses are for Cadets who have been selected for subsequent anpointment to non-com-missioned rank.
The course at Godlev Head will be under the commend of Major A. Molineaux. New Zealand Regiment, and the chief ’mtructor «’>l’ be Cantain H. M. Sweeney. Christchurch Boys’ High School cadet corps.
