COMPETITIONS AT ASHBURTON
ANNUAL ONE-DAY EVENT Annual one-day competitions were held at Ashburton on Saturday. This was organised by Mr C. Ansford. The judges were Mrs Anita Ledsham (vocal) and Mrs B. Heley (elocution), both of Christchurch. The official accompanist was Mrs J. C. Whyte, of Ashburton, and the stage managers were Mr A. H. Todd (vocal) and Misses D. Johnston and L. Robinson (elocution). A demonstration concert was given in the evening. The results were as follows: Elocution
