"Th* Presf Special Service DUNEDIN. July U. With six events decided. Dunedin is leading by 7 points to 3 from Christchurch in the annual Training College winter sports tournament, which began to-day. Dunedin won the Association ,'ootball, women's hockey, and the crosscountry race, and Christchurch won the men's hockey and the debate. The boxing was drawn. The tournament will conclude to-morrow, when badminton, women's and men's indoor basketball, and women’s outdoor basketball matches will be played. • Boxing results were:—feather-weight: C. Blakie (Dunedin) 9st lib beat R. Brown (Christchurch) Bst 7ib, on points. Lightweight: D. Matthews (Christchurch) s«t 31b beat G. Rees (Dunedin) Bst 121 b. on points. Welter-weight: A. Hall iDuaedin) lOst beat W. Duff (Christchurch) lost 71b, the referee stopping the bout in the second round. Middle-weight: J. Falconer (Christchurch) list 21b beat E. Cameron (Dunedin) list 31b. on points. Light-heavv-weight: B. Proctor (Dunedin) list 121 b beat J. Bateman (Christchurch) list 121 b. the referee stopping the fight in the first round after Bateman had been down three times. weight: W. Nightingale (Dunedin) list Sib beat P. Stuart (Christchurch), the referee stopping the bout in the second round. Better ball control and ability to use its opportunities gave Dunedin victory by « goals to 0 in the Association football In the women’s hockey. Dunedin beat Christchurch by 4 goals to 0. The superior stickwork and positional play of the Christchurch men's hockey team gave it victory over Dunedin by 3 goals to 1. The mainstays of the Christchurch team were R. Rogers, at centrehalf. and the captain, R. Chapman, on the wing. Chapman's ball control was outstanding. The cross-country race over a course of three miles and a quarter, which included some stiff hill country, was won by Dunedin. F. Cameron and E. Cameron were the first men home. F.
