KOREAN TRUCE TALKS
Enemy Complains Of U.N. Attacks (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 12.10 a.m.) SEOUL, July 18. The Communists reported to-day that the cease fire talks at Kaesong were “progressing,” but they accused the United Nations of “attacks on all fronts” along the Korean battle-line. A Peking radio broadcast said that General Ridgway and General Van Fleet were personally directing the attacks on all fronts. The radio threatened retaliation. The United Nations and Communist delegations met at Kaesong to-day for nearly throe hours.
United Nations forces maintained light contact with the Communists across the Korean battlefront.
The Allies repulsed three smallscale but determined Communist attempts to drive a wedge through Allied positions north-west of Yanggu on the East Central front.
The Far East Air Force reported that heavy air attacks were continuing against Communist installations in North Korea.
