SOUTH AFRICA DRAWS WITH YORKSHIRE
LONDON,-July 3. The South African touring cricket team drew with Yorkshire at Sheffield to-day. Yorkshire passed the South Africans’ total of eight for 454 declared for the loss of only four wickets. They took precisely the same time as their rivals —seven hours 20 minutes. The South Africans spent a gruelling and unrewarding day in the field. Yorkshire's total was the highest against the South Africans this summer. Scores:—South Africa—First innings, eight for 454 declared. Yorkshire— First innings, 579 (Hutton 156, Lowson 115, J. Wilson 84, N. Yardley 57).
King’s Cup Air Race— The King’s Cup air race, which was postponed from June 22, has been provisionally arranged to take place on September 15. —London, July 4.
