Somerset—First innings, 196 (Tremlett 76; Wright six for 40); second innings, 200 (Tremlett 71). Kent—First innings, 208 (B. Edrich 90); second innings, 176. Somerset won by 12 runs. Lancashire—First innings, six for 441 declared (Washbrook 139, G. Edrich 133). Sussex—First innings, 124 (Hilton five for 41): followed on, 164 (Wharton seven for 33). Lancashire won by an innings and 153 runs. Leicester—First innings, 330 (Palmer 82); second innings, eight for 232 declared (Tompkin 87). Essex—First innings, 262 (Insole nbt out 94); second innings, nine for 220. The match was drawn.
