A grant has been approved by the Cabinet for the erection of two more classrooms at the Wairakei Road : School. Advice of this was received ■ yesterday by Mr J. K. McAlpine, mem- 1 ber of Parliament for Selwyn, from the Minister of Education (Mr R. M. Algie). The roll of the school has risen to 291, which enti les the school to eight classrooms. The existing accommodation is six permanent rooms, one prefabricated room, and a - library. With the erection of two more rooms it will be possible to remove the prefabricated classrooms.—(F.O.O.R,)
