Members of the Auckland branch of the former Waterside Workers’ Union to-day approved a resolution recommending the national strike committee to reconsider its policy. It is believed that the resolution was discussed for nearly t.wo hours before it was carried

by a large majority. The president (Mr A. Drennan) and the secretary (Mr R. E. Jones) denied a report that the question of a return to work was discussed at the meeting. They said that votes of confidence were given the national and local officers.
