CHANGES IN WEST COAST TEAM There are a number of changes in the West Coast Rugby team to meet Buller. The team should be strengthened as a result, particularly by the inclusion of R. Breeze and R. Stoop. J. Martin, who has shown outstanding form this season, will play on one wing. A. McLean, a former representative lock forward, will replace W. Curtain, and R. Bryant, a Hokitika player, will play as a hooker in his first representative appearance. The match on Saturday is for. the Rundle Cup. Afterwards 25 players will be chosen to train for the Seddon Shield matches. The team’s regular centre, E. G. Walker, and the former hooker, K. Fisher, were not available because of injuries. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE ; MEETS The management committee of the West Coast Rugby Union, at its weekly meeting, appointed a deputation to wait upon the Greymouth Borough Council to discuss several questions, including the memorial gates. R Conaghan (Celtic) was granted permission to play in the senior second diviIt wa° agreed to share with the Buller Union the extra expenses incurred in travelling to Hokitika. » Mr R Sutherland was appointed manager of the senior representative team, and Mr H. W. Clifford manager of the junior team to play Buller at Hokitika on Saturday. The referee for the match will be Mr G. Spence.

The Kaitangata to-day completed unloading her general cargo from Auckland, and has loaded a consignment of 350 cases of honey for Wellington. She is at present unable to depart for Westport to load coal for Wellington because of adverse seas on the Grey bar. The Hauiti left Wellington at midday to-day for Greymouth with general cargo for Hokitika and Greymouth. She is expected to-morrow night. She will load a shipment of silver pine posts at Greymouth for the North Island. The depth on the bar at high water to-day was 18ft 6in. High water at Greymouth: July 5, 11.29 a.m. and 11.51 p.m.; July 6, a.m. and 0.9 p.m.; July 7, 027 a.m. and 0.48 p.m.
