MAN DIES FROM INJURIES KNOCKED DOWN BY VAN (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 30. A. Patterson, of Wellington, died in hospital yesterday afternoon from injuries he suffered when a van knocked him down in Oriental parade on Tuesday. In the accident Mr Patterson broke a leg and received shock and concussion.

MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 29. A motor-cyclist died in an ambulance shortly before 8 o’clock to-night from severe head injuries believed to have been received when the machine he was riding in Beach road, Papakura, collided with a bull. He was David Briggs, aged about 27, of Drury. A motorist found Mr Briggs lying unconscious under a fence and summoned assistance. CYCLISTS INJURED Three women cyclists were Involved in collisions with motor vehicles yesterday. None was seriously hurt. Mrs A. Cox, of 31 Simeon street, was injured in a collision with a truck on the corner of Moorhouse avenue and Colombo street. She was treated at the outpatients' deoartment of the Christchurch Public Hospital at 11.15 a.m. and sent home.

Miss Heather Bennett, of 12 Sudston street, was involved in a collision with a car in Oxford terrace about 7 p.m. She was also treated at the outpatients’ department of the public hospital and sent home.

Mrs Winifred Lineen, of 34 Cranmer square, suffered minor injuries when she was involved in a collision with a car on the intersection of Barbadoes and Kilmore streets, at 7.30 p.m.
