Of the 6953 10s tickets taken out on the first leg of the double, 1274 were for the winner Attachment. Of these 134 were reinvested on Nacirma and the return for £1 was £42 17s 6d. The totalisator handled £39,864, includ-, ing £3476 10s on the double and £1192 10s for off-course, betting, compared with £35.166 last year. Financial put a foot through a wheel of Diamed's sulky. Both horaes were pulled up, and several others met interference. It was found that Financial had been pulling hard all the way and at the straight entrance she twice ran into the -back of Goldbox’s sulky. This forced her on to the fence. She was hopelessly pocketed in and still pulling about a fur'ong. further on when Diamed tired and dropped back on tbe rails. After hearing the evidence of the drivers concerned it was found that the inciden’ was accidental, and no action was taken G. L. Mitchell, driver of Panic, whici finished fourth in the Highbank Handicap No. 2. was fined £5 for excessive use o the whip. Black Sentinel broke short of the pdsi in the Lvndhurst Trot Handicap No. 2 and gallop’d past the line in th rd place just ahead of Canny Scott.
