NEW YORK DOCKERS PROTEST
t NEW YORK, April 12. More than 2000 longshoremen of the American Federation of Labour walked off the New York piers for two hours to-day in protest against President Truman's dismissal of General MacArthur.
The longshoremen marched to a park where they roared'approval of a teleeram to be sent to Mr Truman, asking him to restore General MacAthur to his commands.
British Fighters for Swiss.—The Swiss Parliament to-day voted £14.500,000 to build 150 Venom jet fighters in Switzerland under British licence for the Swiss Air Force.— Berne, April 12.
